About Our Client
This highly successful firm of chartered accountants, with offices near Sandwich has undergone significant growth and has an excellent reputation and varied client base across Kent, the wider South East and further afield. The firm acts for wide ranging clients in sector and turnovers and provides a great environment for the right payroll professional to carve a key role.
As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of payroll services to the firm's payroll clients, deal with queries and advising clients on technical issues, marketing the department, setting up new clients, auto enrolment, and billing. The role also includes a small number of regular CIS clients and forms P11d.
You will undertake processing and act as the sole point of contact for these clients and develop relationships, processing weekly, fortnightly, monthly payrolls for wide ranging clients in size and complexity.
This opportunity will provide the right applicant with the opportunity to grow, embracing the latest working practices and software in the department, offering additional services to existing clients and expanding the department with new clients.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to progress and develop not only their payroll career but to have a pivotal role in the future of the firm.
The role will require the successful applicant to have a flexible approach in order to meet month end deadlines. Currently about 75% of this full-time role will be hands on processing with the remaining time used to grow and modernise the department. There is the possibility of this being a part-time role should the applicant be proficient in payroll processing but not wish to take on the additional responsibilities of growing the department.
The Successful Applicant
You will have a background in an accountancy practice, as an experienced Payroll Administrator or Manager, focused on payroll delivery, working with significant numbers of employees, processing and delivery an efficient and quality payroll service.
You will have least three years, or considerably more experience focused on payroll experience.
