My client is a large FMCG business based in Wolverhampton, looking for a Plating Operator to join their team

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities for the Plating Operator

  • Jig/unjig and load/unload plant as required.
  • Identify record and pack components as required.
  • Organise product for processing to ensure timely processing of trays and effective utilisation of plant.
  • Recognise and report variations on process parameters.
  • Make and record process additions and process maintenance as required.
  • Undertake all work in accordance with work instruction sheets and standard process procedures and operations.
  • Complete production and technical records as required.
  • Recognise, remedy or report variations on process parameters. Investigate causes of variation and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular plant process and procedure audits / inspections.
  • Recognise, rectify or report any trends in rejects and other quality issues.
  • Undertake laboratory analysis as required.
  • Carry out the planned maintenance as and when required.
  • Monitor the operation of the effluent treatment plant, Maintain levels of reagent chemicals in storage tank, investigate and correct any problems when notified by the alarm system. (report any concerns to Management)
  • Liaise with external suppliers regarding maintenance, repair and improvement plans.
  • Liaise with others as required and assist as necessary in resolving any quality or production issues.
  • Recognise and report failings in skills, equipment or procedures.
  • Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement.
