Save JobEmail job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsWork at the home of the largest decarbonisation project in Europe.Play a major part in the UK reaching its net-zero 2050 target.About Our ClientMy client is committed to enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future through engineering, technology and innovation.The Policy Officer (Industry Codes and Charging) will be key to doing this.They have 4 offices: London; Ipswich; Northampton; and Selby.Job DescriptionThe Policy Officer (Industry Codes and Charging) will be responsible to:Ensure all future industry changes/code modifications are successfully delivered within the required deadlinesLead on responses to RFIs, Consultations, Calls for Evidence, etc.Project manage the completion of RFIs and reports (as required) within timescales and to suitable qualityProactively identify regulatory risks and opportunities and develop risk management strategies and tactical responses pertaining to:Industry Governance changes, and Network and industry charging arrangements, make recommendations, develop innovative solutions and drive them through to resolutionIndustry Code modifications, make recommendations, develop innovative solutions and drive them through to a successful conclusionEffectively communicate key regulatory, charging and code governance information across all levels of the Group and provide interpretation and advice as requestedProactively track and monitor industry updates for changes to specific codes and charging arrangements, participating in industry work groups / forums and communicate to the business as appropriateIndustry Code Contract Management, as requiredSupport the Group Market Analysis (GMA) and Strategy team as required to ensure the current and prospective regulatory and industry governance landscape is included in the assessment of market/strategic opportunities and charging arrangements.Work collaboratively across the Group Regulation & Compliance functions to ensure alignment on interpretation and external positioning, as appropriate, and to ensure resources are used efficiently.To support the Group Regulation and Compliance function with regulatory matters as required.The successful post holder can be based anywhere in the UK, as long as they can access the following offices for c. 2 days a week:London; Ipswich; Northampton; and Selby.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Policy Officer (Industry Codes and Charging) will have:Ability to interpret and simplify complex information to various audiences across the GroupExcellent communication/presentation skills and a confident approach as the role will require working with all levels across the GroupAbility to develop and maintain working relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersExcellent written skills for preparing industry responsesIn depth understanding of the energy sector and associated industry code, charging and governance arrangementsExperience managing multiple projects concurrentlyConfident influencer when engaging senior leadersProject management skills and the ability to deliver to tight deadlinesStrong Microsoft Office SkillsKnowledge of the energy sector, or understanding of regulated sectors, is desirable.What's on OfferWork at an organisation which is committed to enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future through engineering, technology and innovation, and play a key role in enabling them to do so.ContactAmy CoxQuote job refJN-112023-6239875Phone number+44 207 269 2214Job summaryJob functionPolicySubsectorRegulationSectorIndustrial / ManufacturingLocationLondonContract typePermanentConsultant nameAmy CoxConsultant phone+44 207 269 2214Job referenceJN-112023-6239875
