About Our Client

A large sale hosing association looking to transform their IT services

Job Description

Challenge the teams to ensure the portfolio is both transformative and delivering at pace, on track and sustainable. Review and resolve all project resource conflicts and risks relating to the portfolio working with heads to prioritise delivery in line with strategies.

Key Accountabilities

1. Build, edit and maintain the project portfolio for change and transformation, with input from the Business Systems Leadership team, wider members and stakeholders. Prioritise the portfolio based on agreed criteria and wider dependencies

2. Constantly track projects and their progress across the Business Systems and IT departments to resolve conflicts of resources and budget and prioritising projects that have potential to generate value in line with strategy requirements

3. Produce and present with clarity high quality reporting to Programme Board or equivalent on Business Systems projects updating senior management on progress and risks

4. Manage and guide a team of delivery Project Managers to ensure responsive and efficient delivery of tasks as required by Product Owners and transformation strategy and prioritise the delivery schedule

5. Manage risks, issues and interdependencies across multiple customers, teams, departments and organisations to manage, resolve and report

6. Provide structure and challenge to your team and the leadership team to ensure the portfolio is challenging and achievable

7. Align projects with the company's business objectives and ensure projects are in line with the Transform 21 strategy

8. Ensure benefits are tracked and realised for all projects in the portfolio Date September 2021 Final

9. Support the Product Manager to prioritise the backlog for product enhancements working closely with the Development Manager to ensure resources are available for changes

The Successful Applicant

Knowledge and Experience

Ability to negotiate confidently and effectively, with strong influencing skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills able to present ideas in user friendly language to all levels of the organisation with a demonstrated ability to network and build strong relationships at all levels of the business

Experience of working with senior stakeholders.

Track record of developing and supporting team members to deliver to deadlines

Experience of understanding complex business processes and systems

Proven knowledge of project, programme and portfolio management

Experience of resource planning and multi project management using Agile and lean methodologies

Experience of digital transformation projects

creating and refining reporting materials
