The IT team, which sits within the Resource and Finance Directorate is at the heart of this work. You will be joining us at a pivotal moment in our journey as we seek to combine Agile methodologies with Microsoft's Azure technology stack. With key programmes to deliver Dynamics 365 and Analytical Software Modernisation about to commence there is ample opportunity to influence the canvas of how this technology is going to be embedded.

Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Solutions Manager you will help the Office for Students with its mission to support positive student outcomes by designing, developing, and supporting low-code solutions within the Power Platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and building low code business applications.
  • Developing PowerApps model and canvas driven apps.
  • Expanding the Power Platform using Azure.
  • Designing end-to-end solutions that improves collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identifying areas and processes where the Microsoft environment can be better leveraged and facilitating process improvement.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting existing business applications.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in an Agile way.
  • Comfortable leading meetings with the Agile Product Team.
  • Taking on the role of Scrum Master when required.


The Successful Applicant

You will be passionate about what you do and helping those around you. Excellent communication skills and happy to work collaboratively with all members of the Product Team to deliver solutions that meet the organisation's needs. You will be interested in what the business does to better understand the needs and translates those needs into low-code solutions.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of software development.
  • Ability to build software to meet user needs
  • Ability to write clean, secure code.
  • Follows best practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines
  • Experience delivering and integrating software to form a complete service
  • Experience leading on software planning and development through a sets of related user stories; capable of understanding development tools and the whole system.
  • Experience working as part of a scrum team adhering to Agile methodologies



Skills:

  • Experience with Dynamics 365, C#, .NET, Azure (Service Bus, Logic Apps, Function Apps) and Azure DevOps highly desirable.
  • Configuration, and integration of Azure (PaaS and SaaS) products is desirable.
  • Experience building applications using Power Apps is desirable
  • Experience using Power BI (Power Query, DAX, reports & dashboards) is desirable.
  • Automating software delivery through CICD processes is desirable.

  • Salary Available: £31,177 - £51,044 Depending on Experience
