Based in Cambridge, but with offices across the East, this chartered Accountancy Practice is undergoing continued positive growth and development acting for very wide ranging clients across varying industries acting for wider ranging industry sector OMBs, SMEs and corporate limited company clients well in excess of the audit threshold in turnovers, along with acting for smaller sole trader and partnerships, along with charity/not for profit and other clients.

On the personal tax side the firm acts for wide ranging private clients across HNWIs, directors, property related clients and other individuals. Job Description

Responsibilities for this Private Client Tax Senior based in Cambridge

You will deal with a wide range of compliance matters including the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and estates. You may also be responsible for the completion of Capital Gains Tax returns, Inheritance Tax accounts and Trust Registration filing requirements

You will draw on your strong technical expertise to provide excellent front line client service to your portfolio, alongside completion and (depending on experience) reviewing self-assessment tax returns completed by other staff and assisting with their development of more junior staff.

The Successful Applicant

Skills required for this Private Client Tax Senior:

  • A minimum of 2 years recent practice experience within a personal tax role, or a mixed role including personal tax.
  • You should hold or be studying towards the ATT (or above) qualification (or be qualified by experience).Study support will be considered, if applicable.
  • Accomplished in managing competing deadlines and client expectations. Skilled in controlling budgets and billing.
  • A high level of ICT literacy with sound knowledge of MS Word, Excel and accounting/tax software packages. Knowledge of CCH software would be beneficial.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate effective client contact and present complex findings in an accessible manner.
  • A thorough attitude and an expert eye for detail.
  • Previous experience in business development activity would be helpful.
