Job Description

This position is ideal for a solicitor or legal executive with 3 to 5 years post-qualification experience in private client work who is looking to take the next step in their career. You'll manage a varied caseload with autonomy, while receiving support from senior colleagues when needed.

You'll be advising clients on:

  • Drafting both straightforward and complex Wills
  • Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Trust creation and management
  • Inheritance Tax planning and mitigation
  • Elderly client care and estate planning



You'll be encouraged to build strong client relationships and contribute to the growth of the team. The role offers a balance of technical challenge and client-facing work, with opportunities to develop your expertise further, particularly if you're working towards or already hold the STEP qualification.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Private Clients Senior Associate should have:

  • Qualified Solicitor status with a strong background in private client law.
  • Proven experience in handling wills, trusts, and probate matters with confidence.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
  • A client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Knowledge of current developments and trends within private client law.
  • Hold the STEP qualification.
