Bullet points

  • You'll be at the forefront of the medical device sector

  • Work an industry which is constantly busy!

About Our Client

A longstanding medical device manufacturer with significant volume going through the facility.

Job Description

As a process engineer, you'll work working across a mixture of NPI and productivity improvement programs, but essentially you'll be responsible for industrialisation. That covers everything from:

  • Equipment specification and sourcing
  • Documentation creation - pFMEA, control plans, process flows, work instruction
  • Training operators, and making sure they're confident with the manufacturing processes
  • Managing validation protocol in line with medical device requirements (IQ/OQ/PQ)

Now, when this falls under an NPI project, you'll naturally have a project life cycle to follow.

But equally, you'll be responsible for assessing the current performance of production lines, and identifying areas to improve them. You will apply tools and techniques you've learned through your time as a Process Engineer - MTM, line balancing, Yamazumi, TAKT time calculations, etc.

So we need a Process Engineer, but we also need lateral thinking and initiative.

The Successful Applicant

You'll probably have a few years of experience in a similar role - maybe it's called a Process Engineer, but anything along the lines of Manufacturing or Production Engineering is obviously fine too.

You need to have a solid understanding of delivering new plant into a facility, from start to finish, alongside the required documentation (pFMEA's etc).

Ideally, you'll have worked for a medical device manufacturer previously and will understand both ISO13485 requirements and validation protocols. If not, a high volume and regulated sector such as automotive would lend itself well.

What's on Offer

A varied workload, an environment where you'll continue to develop, and an attractive salary plus a bonus.
