About Our Client
Michael Page are partnered with one of our large clients in Leeds who are in the market for an enthusiastic Procurement Manager who has experience across different sectors and who is well versed with multiple categories and sub categories of spend in a complex business.
As Procurement Manager you will development, improvement and implement of procurement strategies and activities across the business in line with the changing requirements and growth plans.
You will work with key stakeholders internally and externally to deliver a successful procurement function, and you will need to manage stakeholder's expectations in line with the procurement policy.
You will manage procurement strategy across multiple categories including FM, IT, Professional Services and HR.
You will leads the procurement function across your categories in pursuit of sourcing strategies that increase productivity, improve supplier performance and reduce costs.
You will manage appropriate supply relationship and service agreements.
You will need to facilitate necessary improvements to increase accuracy, visibility and productivity working closely to the wider procurement team and senior leadership to bring about required change.
The Successful Applicant
Experience of working to budgets, capex and cash flow requirements
Experience as a Category Manager, Procurement Manager, or Commodity Manager within indirect Procurement
Experience working for large service providers, or withing the industrial, energy infrastructure, or logistics and distribution sectors.
Experience of procurement Category Management withing indirects
A strong key stake holder manager
An enthusiastic self starter with a drive to progress and work with the team. Team fit and a positive culture is key to the Head of Procurement.
Degree qualification or an equivalent
5 Yrs+ Experience
