About Our Client

The company is a rail operator operating trains through London, Kent and also parts of East Sussex.

Job Description

  • Proactive maintenance of contract database and associated documentation, that they are up to date
  • Manage procurement team approvals, consents and information requests with the ensuring DfT
  • Maintenance of compliance and project trackers
  • Produce KPI/spend/purchasing reports
  • Monthly credit checks and records of key suppliers
  • Audit internal governance process and P2P systems for compliance and recommending improvement actions
  • Advise and assist internal stakeholders with procurement and governance
  • Mitigate risk
  • Regularly report and communicate effectively to procurement team and wider stakeholders
  • Work with company solicitor to ensure all contracts are on appropriate terms and conditions

The Successful Applicant

  • Professional qualification or transferable degree
  • A detailed knowledge of the procurement process, contractual compliance and auditing
  • Excellent understanding and experience of procure to pay (P2P) systems and processes
  • Excellent understanding of contractual documentation and governance requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge of contract law, safety and GDPR requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Excellent experience of producing reports for senior management and board levels
  • Honest
  • Team player and strong individual worker
  • Flexible with regards to working requirements
