Michael Page are partnered with one of our key clients in the waste water / utilities sector in order to help find the most suitable candidate for this Procurement Manager position based near Leeds.
As Procurement Manager you will work closely with other members of the Procurement team, internal stakeholders and act as a key interface between the business and external third parties.
You will be responsible for leading and delivering the procurement team's category strategy, whilst managing a category spend within the department. This role will, add value, encompass the values and goals of the business, whilst involving and incorporating the needs of functional stakeholders.
Working with the business to source and procure a wide range of goods and services, ensuring optimal value for money against defined service and quality criteria.
Promoting procurement principles to ensure that the business recognise the total acquisition costs for all purchases
Managing supplier relationships, coordinating multiple stakeholder interfaces across the business to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach.
Developing and continually improving procurement policies, standards and processes, whilst ensuring the business operate within their boundaries.
Relevant Sector Experience: Utilities, Waste Water, Energy Infrastructure.
The Successful Applicant
Extensive supply chain experience and contract management experience in a comparable role
Extensive experience of business to business negotiation on contractual terms and conditions
Experience of SAP and e-tendering systems
Experience of OJEU Procurement
Experience of drafting, negotiating and managing a variety of complex contracts which contain significant risk
Experience of identifying commercial and contract risks and manage appropriately
CIPS - Required
