About Our Client
Our client is a leading FMCG business (non-food) who are one of the UK's largest companies in their industry. They are looking to add talent in their Procurement function and this person will be integral in the future of the business.
Job Description
- Management of local procurement team, including all coaching, training and development, allocating workload appropriately
- Management & development of supplier base to deliver maximum service for lowest cost and in line with KPI requirements
- Ensuring the site's purchasing transactions are carried out in the most cost effective manner
- Ensure effective communication of the purchasing strategy throughout the site
- Management and responsibility of the 'On Time In Full Measurement' for site
- Liaising with central procurement teams to ensure site strategy reflects that of the wider company
- Effective management of any tender processes
- Undertake reporting & statistical analysis in relation to new product lines
The Successful Applicant
- 2-4 years of Procurement Management experience
- Experience managing in an FMCG environment
- Strong negotiation/commercial skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Exposure to internal/external stakeholder management
