Job Description
Procurement Specialist- Construction/Infrastructure
- Procurement of goods and services for international infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges and water treatment plants
- Asses and select vendors, negotiating prices with them to ensure value for money
- Manage both external and internal stakeholders, being able to collaborate internally with departments such as engineering and operations
- Maintaining contact with suppliers, ensuring goods arrive on time as contractually agreed
The Successful Applicant
Procurement Specialist- Construction/Infrastructure
- Experienced in procuring good and services for large infrastructure projects such as steel structures, steel piping, plastic piping, machinery, architecture services, and furniture.
- Able to work in a multi cultural environment, most of the projects are in Africa and Latin America
- A strategic thinker - able to think outside of the box, and solve potential problems before they arise
- Commercially savvy, able to negotiate with suppliers, ensuring best value for money
