After investing significantly in their marketing and sales team, they are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the company and take ownership of their broad product portfolio.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities for the Product Manager will include:Provide insight on market size & opportunities for the product offer through a thorough understanding of the key influencing factors and adapting the product offer to the meet the needs of each customer segment.Maximise the product profitability & availability through implementing robust life-cycle management processes (ie new product supply, new product development, cost-effective stock locations/delivery route to customer, working capital, stock turn and end of life)Monitor and maintain all product content (specifications, marketing text, images for the product portfolio for appropriate use in sales tools, marketing & promotional communication, and customers website(s).Working with the Marketing Manager to deliver a product marketing plan with measurable activity focusing on communicating aligned and consistent USP's and messages with clear differentiation between Good, Better and Best (where the hierarchy exists) products across all channels.Work closely with the sales teams and operations team to provide support, development of sales tools and deliver product training as required.Work with stakeholders to provide commercial input in forecasting and supplier review and selection and maximise any marketing funding support available.Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that there is a clear rationale for the development of the product ranges, and that considerations are clearly understood an acted on in the brand planning process.Effectively interpret all available industry, product, customer and supplier data turning it into actionable insights that are communicated regularly to the business (sales, customers, management, etc.) e.g. Range health checks, range reviews, promotional analysis and sales fundamentals.Working closely with marketing, sales and suppliers to develop brand/product marketing programmes to drive growth on the assigned product portfolio.Ensure that workload is prioritised and focused against the biggest opportunities for the business. Implement productivity initiatives and lead the objective evaluation of range development activity against clear KPIs in order to drive continuous improvement on return on investment and significant and qualifiable savings to the business.Broaden the sphere of influence and build close working relationships with key internal and external customers through developing a detailed understanding of key contacts, their strategy, goals and calendar and using this understanding to proactively identify opportunities of benefit to the product ranges.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Product Manager will have the following experience:* Proven experience in Product Management, or category management.* B2B Product Management experience is desirable.* Experience working with PHYSICAL products is essential.
