About Our Client

My client are a phenomenal global, FMCG manufacturer who host multiple sites UK wide. This Production Scheduler / Planner role is based in South Derbyshire and offers hybrid working (50/50 split remote and office working).

Job Description

Within this role you will be planning the production across a broad portfolio of products and work within the production team, line leads and project managers.

You will be accountable for generating a production schedule across all network production lines, to satisfy customer demand and maximise production efficiency.

In addition;

  • Accountable for setting and managing WIP stock policy, aligned with end-to-end supply chain strategy
  • To schedule all manufacturing and packaging operations based on defined system rules and governance which ensures optimised manufacturing and packaging production line performance and stock profiles to achieve customer demand
  • Continually improve production plans by developing stock policy and planning principles, in light of constraints and vulnerabilities (e.g., demonstrated quality performance by brand)
  • Optimise the stock holding position to achieve COGS and working capital targets whilst improving customer service levels
  • Hold production accountable for schedule delivery, production conformance to plan and data performance to enable effective planning. Hold demand control to account for demand stability. Only if required, change schedule to manage production issues / materials issues / demand escalations and work with the planner to drive root cause analysis for each schedule change and corrective action
  • Review, maintain and challenge key data requirements to ensure scheduling accuracy and plan conformance improves

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong knowledge of production and logistics processeswithin a fast-paced, consumer/retailv led environment
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • An ability to effectively interact and impact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management
  • Proven track record of holding others to account for performance
  • Extremely high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Powerpoint, Word and Excel
