Job Description
Scope of the Role: * Manages multi-million-pound strategic projects and programmes ensuring projects are delivered within budget * Manages projects with impact across Islamic Relief operations ranging from one department to global operations * Technically manages large project teams (up to 50 people) leading implementations * Influences stakeholders nationally and internationally. * Works with external suppliers to deliver solutions that may impact global operations Responsibility for Resources: * Responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation resources (management & product documentation). * This role will not have actual budgetary control, however they will be helping shape budgets for projects, and will input into project budget decisions. * This role will be managing tech/project resources (dotted line) but not line manage anyone. This role may manage up to 25 indirect reports..
The Successful Applicant
ESSENTIAL: * Agile Project Management (practitioner), or equivalent project management methodology (e.g. PMP practitioner) qualification * ICT / Computing / Computer Science or related degree level or equivalent qualification * Proven ability of running multiple projects, co-ordinating multi-disciplinary teams (technical and professional staff) and achieving project delivery within agreed time frames and budget. * Significant, proven and demonstrable experience working across the whole project lifecycle, including implementation in a complex environment. * Good understanding of the requirements engineering discipline and the wider role of business analysis within ICT projects * Demonstrate excellent organisational/time management skills and the ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure. * Experience building strong working relationships, demonstrating excellent negotiation, influencing and communication with a wide range of stakeholders - internal and external, e.g. business SMEs, management, internal ICT, suppliers and contractors. * Able to interpret and extract information from a variety of sources, and create well presented, accurate, concise documentation, demonstrating attention to detail, in formats such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Power BI. * Experience of delivering technology solutions across the Microsoft stack end to end. * Experience of delivering cloud and hybrid based solutions including migrating from legacy solutions * Understand the multiple facets of ICT, within infrastructure, business applications, and service management, including cyber/information security risks, as well as the drivers, risks associated with, and implications of on premise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments
