About Our Client
Our client is a Global property development and investment business.
Job Description
Responsibilities with this role include:
- Acting on all litigation matters within the Group
- Managing a caseload of both pre-litigated and formally litigated matters including but not limited to:
-Applications made under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 & Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002
-Claims made pertaining to service charge, insurance, breach of lease, disrepair and all other matters pertaining to the client's ownership of a large property portfolio
- Residential and commercial property possession claims
-Commercial litigation for group companies
In addition:
-
Managing a caseload of property matters including but not limited to Deeds of Variation, Licences & sales

Managing a caseload of Right to Manage matters

Managing a caseload of Forfeiture matters

Managing a caseload of lease extension and enfranchisement matters

Providing litigation and commercial advice on all aspects of the Group's activities

Other matters commensurate with the role and as required.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a Solicitor or Barrister qualified to practice in England & Wales or another Common Law Jurisdiction with current unrestricted Practising Certificate with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience.
They will have experience of residential Landlord & Tenant litigation and general commercial litigation.
In house experience will be looked upon favourably but is not a pre-requisite. Private practice training is a pre-requisite. PQE is for guidance purposes only and all levels of PQE will be considered.
The role is available on a temporary (day rate / FTC) or permanent basis.
