Our client are a leading International Bank whose main focus in the UK is retail banking.
Job Description
The Prudential Compliance Manager will be responsible for:
- Primary contact for communication with the regulatory authorities, including the FCA, PRA, Bank of England, and the Prudential Authority and international regulators
- Ensuring that information requests from the regulators noted above are attended to timely,providing input into the response and organising internal stakeholders to provide information required
- Ensuring all regulatory returns to the FCA and PRA are completed accurately and timely
- Conducting regulatory horizon scanning for the London Branch.This includes tracking the progress of regulatory instruments through to final approval and implementation
- Manage the horizon scanning process internally in terms of internal awareness, developing bespoke training based on research and analysis, preparing and developing an impact analysis of the regulations on the business activities of the London Branch and communicating that impact analysis timely to affected internal stakeholders
- Working with compliance colleagues to support the development of compliance monitoring plans
The Successful Applicant
The Prudential Compliance Manager should have the following skills:
- Deep and detailed knowledge of prudential regulations across capital, funding, leverage, IFPR, and financial resilience
- Prior work with a regulator and/or prudential compliance in the context of a prudentially regulated firm Sound understanding of capital, funding and leverage in the context of a prudentially regulated firm
- Sound knowledge of banking products and services, derivatives, central clearing, and securities firms
- Experience in engaging with regulators
- Experience in engaging with senior management on complex topics
- Experience in providing training on complex regulatory topics
- Advanced university degree is preferable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter and proactive
What's on Offer
Salary of £70,000 -£75,000 plus attractive benefits package
