Job Description

  • Corporate communications - sourcing and writing stories of Alumni relations
  • Reporting on reputational issues
  • PR and media reporting - including statements to the media and tracking coverage in the press
  • Social media content creation
  • Supporting the PR & Comms Manager with sourcing, monitoring and reporting stories with higher education sector and local media
  • Work alongside the Senior Comms Officer to generate content for the internal communication channels and support media relations work

The Successful Applicant

  • Background in Journalism and PR is essential
  • Good social media knowledge
  • Instinctive news sense
  • Ability to liaise with C-suite and stakeholders
  • Good IT skills, including CMS
  • Ability to understand and summarise complex information
