This business is driven and determined to build on their success. As the Quality Manager you will be tasked with leading this specialist manufacturer's quality function, embedding robust management systems and a quality assurance focus.

You will be developing your team and creating a best practice culture underneath you. You will also be working closely with the wider operation, leading the implementation of consistent quality processes and procedures as well as working with suppliers and customers.

Job Description

As the Quality Manager, you will be ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice, leading initiatives across the site. You will be supporting the site in aligning with the wider group vision, working collaboratively with other departments and sites, driving the site quality processes and supporting on health & safety matters.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of quality supervisors in maintaining the QMS across their sites.
  • Oversee management of company KPIs with relevant managers.
  • Implement continuous improvement to improve production processes in conjunction with the operational team.
  • Ensure all products comply with local & corporate requirements.
  • Provide support to operations and sales for quality related issues/requirements.
  • Ensure total adherence to Quality Management System for the whole company.
  • Determine and maintain External Approval requirements, eg Regulatory and Customer.
  • Ensure that safe systems of work are established for routine and non-routine activities and that there is an effective change management process.
  • Planning, scheduling and corrective action follow up of internal audit programme, as well as conducting internal audits.
  • Proactively communicating with other factories or businesses in the resolution of product NCRs.
  • Support Quality Supervisors with non conformances, Corrective Action (8D) Reports and MRBs.
  • Maintain the company Quality Manual.
  • Support line managers to set up and maintain Training Records for all branch employees.
  • Monitoring and measuring of company Sustainability Health Safety and Environment.

UK travel will be required as part of this role

The Successful Applicant

This role is suited to a Quality/QHSE professional with experience managing QMS in an industrial manufacturing setting and the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies (ideally AS9120)
  • HSE understanding would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A track record of driving measurable quality improvements
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Collaborative working style
