About Our Client

A leading construction and maintenance company based in Birmingham with an enviable portfolio of works and several new contracts due to start from fire safety to total refurbishment projects and now require a Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth.

Job Description

As a Quantity Surveyor based in Birmingham you will be:

  • Responsible for the day to day financial management of the refurbishment works to social housing properties (high rise and low rise, Internal and external).
  • Facilitate and collate information to be used for tenders when procuring contractors through the Procurement process.
  • Work closely with the Senior Surveyor to provide monthly reporting of developments commercial position together with the discussion of any potential risk or opportunities on a particular development.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this role, the key areas of experience requested are:

  • Relevant level of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within housing refurbishment, property development, main contractor (residential), professional practice (PQS), RP's or fire safety sectors with a proven track record.
  • Experience of main contractor/sub-contractor procurement.
  • Tender/Market awareness, together with the ability to calculate rates for a particular works operation.
  • Based in Birmingham and able to travel throughout the West Midlands.
