As the regional HSE Manager, you will be leading sites, examining starting points & establishing where improvements can be made, ensuring compliance across the organisation.
Job Description
This is a leadership role, where you will co-ordinate the activities of the site HSE Managers, facilitating & implementing the organisational Health and Safety policies across multiple sites. As the Regional HSE Manager you will be providing technical health and safety support to individual sites, business units & supporting with group wide projects.
- Advise management on Health and Safety Legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health & suitability of plant, protective equipment & control measures
- Present to board level & lead strategic change
- Initiate timely & appropriate actions in emergency situations, contact & communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders
- Monitoring the effectiveness of the Company Safety Policy by carrying out inspections in association with site management
- Providing written reports of such inspections, including Complete internal Health and Safety Audits, ISO 45001 internal audits & support annual accreditation
- Ensure each site has appropriate trainers and assessors
- Work with the senior leadership & group functions to ensure Health and Safety policy and procedure supports contract needs
- Produce relevant incident information and reports
- Support Group reporting requirements
The Successful Applicant
A HSE professional with FMCG, Manufacturing or Logistics experience & the following:
- Ideally a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Experience of delivering Health and Safety in a 'shop floor' environment
- Track record of working effectively with all levels (Directors, Managers & the Shop Floor)
- Ability to effectively interact with internal & external stakeholders
- Excellent organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to use analyse data to conduct trend analysis
- Excellent interpersonal, communication& influencing skills
