About Our Client

Our client has invested and gained experience in a wide variety of renewable energy projects ranging from solar, offshore wind, onshore wind, hydropower, biomass and geothermal.

Job Description

  • The Technical Project Manager will be managing the projects in which our client is involved, including hydrogen, offshore wind, and other projects, or other related project.
  • You will be leading the development of further opportunities in the sector, from origination, identification and assessment through commercial & technical development to securing contracts and into implementation.
  • Is responsible for advising the management of procurement activities for development, design, legal negotiations and engineering services required.
  • Acts as a key member in contributing to the company's strategy in the relevant areas and provides senior management with regular updates on the market trends.
  • As opportunities advance in the development process, will also be responsible for working with other staff regarding supply of and off-take of power, arrangements for finance, construction and operations, and other matters.

The Successful Applicant

  • Engineering Degree is essential
  • Experience within the Renewable sector is essential
  • Proven track record with either i) international energy company, ii) utility company, iii) project developer or iv) Engineering Consultancy.
  • Strong experience and understanding of project origination and early project phases including consenting, feasibility studies, conceptual design, and performance modelling.
  • Strong experience in successfully managing joint ventures within the energy sector
  • Knowledge of and keen interest in the development of renewable energy and sustainable cities.
  • Project and team management expertise and a track record of success in leading small to medium teams in a joint venture environment.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage external advisors.
  • Understanding of all project phases allowing decisions to be taken that are optimised across the whole project lifecycle.
  • Ability to set team and project goals and drive teams toward achieving the goals and required project outcomes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Very strong written, verbal communication, influencing and presentation skills.
  • The successful candidate will be a strong team player and team leader.
