Job Description

  • Production of all budget, forecast and strategic plan, associated appendices for the subsequent submission to Group.
  • Assist in providing the Business Facing teams with the appropriate templates to complete the BPC and appendices submissions to Group
  • Production of the BPC reports and working capital breakdowns to Business Units to aid management thereof.
  • Where needed, consolidating Business Unit's multiple contracts templates to complete the one BPC submission
  • Consolidate Business Units weekly STC and bridge and challenge where necessary
  • Management of Sector and Business Unit Overheads, producing regular reporting to the budget holder and gaining approval for forecasts and budgets
  • Management of the overhead recharge model to the Business Unit contracts
  • Consolidation, review, and sign-off of Business Unit management accounts with the
  • Business Facing FDs.
  • Review and challenge (where appropriate) the submissions from the Business Units to
  • provide accurate and timely information
  • Assist with coordinating all Group, Sector, and Defence reporting requests, providing
  • templates for completion, consolidating results,s and reviewing for accuracy against previous
  • reported results
  • Assist with producing monthly business review slides and Exco report tables
  • Assist in the production of internal timetables for the Sector and Business Units required
  • managing all major finance programs e.g. budget, forecast and strategic plan
  • Assist with year-end audit packs and associated year-end appendices
  • Ad-hoc Business Unit reporting as and when required
  • Recommend amendments to the Business Processes, associated work instructions, and controls supporting Reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the services provided ensuring

The Successful Applicant

  • Recognized professional qualification. - 2 years PQE
  • Ability to understand and manipulate data to present clear and
  • concise financial messages for review.
  • Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of the industry and regulatory standards in respect to Financial Reporting.
  • Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Experience in Finance IT applications (e.g. SAP, NAV (Navision, IFS etc.)
  • Proven track record on the BPC Reporting system or a similar application.
