Our client is a recognised UK market leader of B2B services in their sector and currently generates revenues in excess of £250m. The business has attained considerable growth both organically and via acquisition and now provides a comprehensive range of service-based solutions to an enviable portfolio of clients. The business is entering an exciting period with a mandate for significant growth resulting in a need to appoint a Sales and Marketing Director.

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO the key responsibilities will include:

  • As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, take responsibility for developing and deploying a sales and marketing strategy focused on meeting the significant growth targets of the business

  • Managing the day to day sales and marketing operations focused on driving the revenue performance from existing and new business, whilst ensuring the delivery of first class customer service

  • Providing inspirational leadership to the sales and marketing team, ensuring they are focused on delivering sustainable profitable growth in the target markets

  • Managing the development of a marketing strategy to further develop the brand and support the growth of the business

  • Building and developing strong relationships with existing and new clients and overseeing all major bids and tenders

  • Overseeing the ongoing development and implementation of sales and account development strategies

  • Evaluating market trends and implementing strategies that will enable the business to further develop their service proposition and commercial opportunities

The Successful Applicant

Prospective candidates will be of graduate calibre with a demonstrable track record of success operating in significant sales and marketing leadership roles gained in the B2B service sector. You will have proven experience operating in high growth businesses that are focused on winning and delivering complex term-based service contracts. Of equal importance are inspirational leadership skills coupled with a strong results orientation that will significantly impact and influence the performance of this growth business. In addition, you will have outstanding interpersonal skills that will enable you to embrace and drive an open and customer service focused culture.
