About Our Client

Our client is a public sector organisation in Leicestershire.

Job Description

Working closely with the wider Estates team, you will be responsible for ensuring that building fabric projects are delivered on time, to spec and within budget. This will include managing contractors and colleagues to prioritise, plan and deliver projects and ensuring that the necessary resources and budgets are allocated accordingly to each project.

You'll be responsible for the collation of operational data that is needed to maintain the estate effectively as well as for the preparation of project planning and proposal and tender documents.

Managing and approving minor works requests will also be a key responsibility for you and you'll need to ensure that these requests are handled in timely manner.

You'll take an active role within the team to lead, develop and mentor more junior members of the Estates team.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for this role will be Building Surveyor who holds a degree in Building Surveying or who has a HNC/HND in Building Surveying together with a professional membership and ideally a qualification linked to leadership such as ILM Level 5.

The role is primarily site based in Leicestershire so we are looking for candidates who are local to the Leicestershire region.
