About Our Client
My client is a leading best in class award winning nuclear organisation that are based in the North West that are currently going through a transformation programme within Procurement & Supply Chain function and are looking for a talented Senior Buyer to join the team on a permanent basis.
Job Description
The Role
- The successful candidate will be responsible for sub-category development
- Sourcing activity, and management of contracts for the organisation and collaborative contracts across the wider estate.
- Sub category areas within the Business Services category include;
- Learning and Development, Business Travel, Employee Services, Corporate Affairs, Communications and other business support contracts.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of operating in an indirect services procurement category
- A good understanding of relevant supply markets,
- Proven stakeholder management skills
- Ideally have OJEU experience, or have worked in a similarly regulated procurement environment.

The Candidate
- Knowledge of relevant indirect services supply markets
- Ability to plan, develop and execute successful category strategies
- Highly self-motivated with thirst for knowledge and self-development
- Proven stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to translate customer demand into successful procurement tender documentation
- Experience of undertaking sourcing activities in public procurement role
- In-depth knowledge of training, and learning and development services supply market
- Either CIPS/MCIPS qualified or working towards accreditation
- Ideally degree educated
- Flexible and willing to travel to site locations when needed
What's on Offer
My client is looking to offer a base salary of up to £39k plus package for the ideal candidate.
