Job Description

  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies
  • Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts
  • Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
  • Overseeing supply needs and managing inventory levels
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality goods within the set timelines
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to forecast demand and establish supply parameters
  • Implementing effective procurement proposals
  • Staying abreast with industry trends and market conditions

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Senior Buyer' should have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in Procurement & Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in a similar role within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector
  • Strong negotiation and networking skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement software
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with various departments
