A key appointment in the new structure is the Senior Development Manager (Commercial) for the Midlands & North Region, based out of their Warrington or Birmingham office.
As Senior Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in leading projects which support the Regional strategy and growth plans. You will have specific responsibility for driving business development activity to reflect agreed strategies from site acquisition through to completed development.
Working with St. Modwen colleagues, consultant design teams and solicitors, strategic partners or liaising with other external bodies such as planning authorities, you will be expected to make a positive impact on these critical relationships and exemplify the high standards that St. Modwen strive to achieve.
Passionate about delivering excellence, you will manage a multi-disciplined project team whilst supporting the implementation of the Regional Strategy for acquisitions, developments and disposals / transfers of schemes into the investment portfolio. In addition, you will liaise closely with the Construction and Asset Management team to ensure compliance with the related business case.
Important aspects of this role will be utilising your personal network to support the identification and securing of new development opportunities as well as working with internal and external communications teams, agents to market schemes and solicitors to successfully conclude transactional work. Other important elements of this role include managing submissions to the Investment Committee, supporting the valuations process, budgetary and cash-flow management in partnership with Regional Finance.
The Successful Applicant
- A proven track record in delivery of Commercial development opportunities and of successfully negotiating and managing all aspects of the acquisition, development, leasing and disposal process
- Strong financial acumen with experience of leading complex developments
- Experience of analysing commercial data to achieve the best outcome
- An ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with internal & external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplined team
- The ability to manage your professional network in order to maximise its' potential
- Degree calibre experience gained in a Commercial sector preferably with a developer or agent
- A relevant professional qualification.
What's on Offer
c. £70,000 - £80,000 Salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits (dependent upon capabilities)
