The Senior Logistics Manager in Swindon will be responsible for...

  • To ensure the team members are managed in a professional way and organised to deliver an excellent service to the customer through continuous improvement and coaching.
  • To actively promote and encourage continuous improvement in the team, ensuring coaching and training of new team members is completed to the required standard.
  • To ensure the team are following company processes and delivering a right first time attitude.
  • To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to and all matters relating to this are dealt with in line with the companies Health and Safety policy.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards on all vehicles and area's used within the site.
  • Control the budget for distribution ensuring the department is running as cost efficiently as possible whilst still delivering a first class service
  • Work on future ways of working, always looking to enhance the customer experience
  • Manage container movements in the UK working closely with China and other internal teams
  • To ensure all legal responsibilities are met in regards working hours, O License and all driver/vehicle responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant

The Senior Logistics must have...

  • CPC highly desirable
  • Previous experience managing a home delivery network
  • Knowledge of management principles, practices and techniques
  • A good communicator to all levels of staff with excellent English language both written and verbal
  • The ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • Qualifications and education to a good standard or relevant experience from a previous role.
  • Actively seeks continuous personal improvement.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast moving business, to be able to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials common to home delivery
  • An understanding of a premium brand and how this should be communicated to our customers
