Job Description

The role of Senior programme manager is a pivotal addition to the Project delivery team supporting new business across europe. Some of these programmes may include new site build, automation and technology implementation.

  • Plan and implement logistics projects.
  • Mentor the PMO team to implement projects in line with the project governance.
  • Implementing best practice in relation to project governance and delivery methodologies.
  • Support planning, development, testing and implementation of new business implementations to ensure project success
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with customers ensuring excellent two-way communication to achieve shared goals
  • Support the Project team to identify/ resolve issues & risks that impact project completion.
  • Manage resource planning to support growth.
  • Monitor productivity and performance of the logistics distribution and supply chain department.
  • Lead and direct cross-functional project teams.
  • Develop and control the full project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Communicate project status and deliverables to senior management.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Programme Manager should have:

  • Flexibility to travel both UK and across Europe
  • A degree in a relevant field such as Business or Logistics.
  • Proven experience in managing large scale logistics projects (Typically start up of new distribution centres, onboarding large customers, automation and infrastructure changes)
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams.
  • Leadership expertise in a large PMO
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong depth of knowledge of the across the logistics distribution and supply chain industry.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
