Senior Neighbourhood Manager - Property and Housing - Greater Manchester

My client is a leading social housing provider in the North West who provides specialist supported living and housing to a wide range of end user.

Job Description

To ensure that the Neighbourhoods Team workload is managed, prioritised effectively and regularly monitored to continually improve the Team's performance.

Key duties include:

  • To support the Head of Housing in providing effective leadership, constructive challenge and shared corporate responsibility.
  • To support the implementation of the Housing Management & Tenant Engagement Strategy in order to sustain independent living for all tenants and maintain neighbourhoods
    where people want to live and that disabled and non-disabled tenants can share and enjoy.
  • To support and supervise the Neighbourhood Managers and effectively and efficiently manage all Voids and Allocations in line with the Association's Policy, ensuring agreed targets are monitored and achieved with minimal loss of income to the Association.
  • To support and supervise the Neighbourhood team to effectively and efficiently manage rent and service charge income, arrears, monitoring targets relating to arrears and management and generally, ensuring minimal loss of income to the association.
  • To support and supervise Neighbourhood Managers on all complex and tenancy management matters, as well as to Anti-Social Behaviour and Safeguarding cases.
  • To ensure that legal action cases are progressed appropriately by Neighbourhood Managers to enforce and/or regain possession of properties in accordance with the association's policies and procedures and support staff to manage more complex or sensitive cases where appropriate.

The Successful Applicant

Senior Neighbourhood Manager - Property and Housing - Greater Manchester

The successful candidate must have:

- Knowledge and understanding of general and supported housing.

- Previous management role within a Housing Association or Local Authority.

- Understanding of business planning and performance management.

- Capable of developing and maintaining constructive and positive working relationships both internally and externally.
