Job Description

  • Acting as a lead commercial procurement expert working in consultation with subject matter experts across professional services and technical expert
  • Manage procurement and supply chain activities across the organisation
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and best practices
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement strategies
  • Develop and deliver procurement training for staff
  • Contribute to the institution's sustainability and social responsibility goals through effective procurement practices
  • You will be required to think commercially, innovative and flexibly in order to optimise commercial and procurement outcomes
  • Delivering programmes of work attributable to strategic and complex procurement activity
  • Improving the commercial maturity of the organisation by maximising the opportunities available through our engagement with our internal and external stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers and supply markets
  • Leading and managing a team and stakeholders through fundamental change

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Procurement Lead you should have:

  • Proven track record in working at a strategic level across procurement and supply chain management
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a commercial mind-set
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Familiarity with procurement legislation and best practices
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and drive success
