The company is a well-established social housing contractor within the property industry and work across a wide range of contracts across the UK. This region covers the West Midlands work across a number of contracts working alongside social housing providers, local authorities and housing associations.

Job Description

  • Oversee all financial aspects of the construction projects
  • Lead a team of quantity surveyors
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
  • Prepare reports and financial forecasts
  • Manage contracts and legal implications
  • Liaise with stakeholders and clients to maintain relationships
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Implement strategies for risk management

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should already have experience working in the R&M field.

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field or extensive experience
  • Proficiency in handling financial aspects of construction projects
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a team effectively
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A solid understanding of contracts and legal implications
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and clients
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to implement effective risk management strategies
