Job Description

The successful candidate will have responsibilities in relation to both the technical (audit subject matter expertise) and training (technique and delivery) aspects for allocated curriculums developed by the technical training team. In addition to training delivery responsibilities, the role will focus on developing, piloting and evaluating training. The role is timed to allow the candidate to review the current training curriculum and develop this in line with the firm's training strategy. The role is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in the firm's audit methodology.Key tasks:

    • Assist with update, delivery, management and post-course review for technical training courses.
    • Develop learning materials e.g. face to face and online learning
    • Create case studies and workspaces to focus on practical application of the audit methodology
    • Identify and implement processes to ensure that learning is applied back in the workplace
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions
    • Prepare content for the pages of Audit Insite
    • Continual update of the training programme to take into account the latest technical updates and regulatory findings that the firm needs to respond to
    • Ensure a seamless fit of the technical lateral hire programme with the firm's general induction programme and any other audit specific aspects.

The Successful Applicant

  • This large accountancy firm is seeking to recruit a Senior Manager.
  • The successful candidate will be a qualified ACA or ACCA with an interest in technical and training matters.
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively, bringing new ideas to the lateral hire training process
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team and able to use own initiative
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Although the Technical Training team is based in London, this role will not necessarily need to be based in London.
  • Some travel to the London office along with travel to other offices and training venues outside London is expected when required.
