As a Major Sub Contract - SHE Manager, you will be assisting the Major Supply Chain Manager in the successful implementation, management, co-ordination and delivery of a Major Subcontractor's Safety Health and Environment. You will be leading and managing SHE performance as part of the management agenda and take action to ensure all employees and Subcontractors keep safe and work safe.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to be a critical interface and the Major Subcontract subject matter expert in regards to SHE, including the implementation of new, innovative, forward thinking initiatives. It is an excellent time to join the team as the programme matures and you have the ability to add your expertise and support the delivery of one of the largest defence programmes in the UK.
Your main responsibilities as a Major Sub Contract - SHE Manager will involve:
Major Subcontracts SHE technical authority/subject matter expert for the initial assessment and ongoing evaluation of contractors' designs, plans, programmes and activities
Managing the link between the Subcontractor and internal business departments while building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders/contractors
Developing and managing SHE KPIs, monitoring Subcontractor systems and auditing their performance
Ensuring all Subcontractor incidents are reported and analysed and resultant actions are implemented
Ensuring compliance with the SHE Management System, mitigating risks and improving overall SHE performance
Managing all Subcontractor Task Packs ensuring these are in place, reviewed, authorised and kept up to date
The Successful Applicant
NEBOSH Diploma or Safety Degree
Chartered member of IOSH Experience working in similar role is required (construction, engineering, manufacturing, Oil & Gas)
Experience working on large scale complex programmes
Knowledge/experience of delivering construction projects in line with the CDM Regulations, preferably worked as a CDM Co-Ordinator
Working knowledge of NEC contracting methodologies
You will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbally. This will allow you to manage a wide range of relationships and present to stakeholders of all levels. You will do this though proficient use of MS packages (i.e. Excel and PowerPoint).

Salary - £ 45,000 - £51,000 (depending on experience)
