This company, based in the Norfolk area, are a leading food manufacturer with an international presence and they are in the midst of executing an exciting growth strategy. As the Shift Supervisor you will be instrumental in ensuring they continue to meet customer expectations.This is an exciting opportunity & a chance to add value to the site. As the Shift Production Supervisor you will be key to ensuring consistency within the production department function & support in driving it forward. You will be creating a culture through empowering a continuous improvement mind-set & utilising change management to increase profit and quality of service.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of production KPIs aligned with business objectives.
  • Deliver action plans covering all operational KPI's within the roles scope.
  • Support team in maintaining GMP standards to the BRC A Grade criteria at all times within your department.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a production team so they are engaged and motivated, to meet the required objectives for all manufacturing activities.
  • Ensuring CI-led activities are delivered in their respective production areas.
  • Coach and develop team to be actively involved with auditing the production areas.
  • Ensure an effective hand over of department to on coming shift.
  • Meet daily with Production Manager to review progress against KPI's and improvement project process.
  • Communicate with engineering to ensure planned maintenance, engineering and production priorities are considered.
  • Support Shift Manager in improving performance and reducing waste.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior experience as a Production Supervisor/Production Lead and have managed a sizeable team within food manufacturing.
  • Experience & knowledge of lean manufacturing practice.
  • Knowledge of planning & proven capability of delivering against operations KPIs.
  • Knowledge of GMP/ BRC.
  • ILM Level 3.
  • Food manufacturing NVQ Level 3 / CIEH Food Safety Level 3 / CIEH Health & Safety Level 3.
  • HACCP Level 3.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
  • Willing to work 4 On 4 Off Days (6am to 6pm).
  • Good level of numerical and verbal reasoning.
