About Our Client

My client are a leading UK Logistics business who are currently experiencing rapid growth. As a result of expansion plans for the business in keeping with the 5 year plan, they are looking to recruit an experienced Site Depot Manager for their flagship East Midlands Site.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities for the Site Depot Manager include:

  • Manage and lead supply, distribution, management and infrastructure capabilities across network.
  • Support and oversees a team focusing on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Responsible for maximising productivity within the operation whilst not compromising on quality and service.
  • Work with key stakeholders both internally and externally including; Finance and HR
  • Ensure the operation is running efficiently and tracking at or below an agreed budgeted cost level
  • Take the lead for all H&S matters throughout the site.
  • Undertake and recognise projects for process improvement within the Operation
  • Be responsible for creating and implementing KPIS in all areas and align the operational teams
  • Make informed budget decisions and utilise data to achieve KPIs and support business growth.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Site Depot Manager will have experience in:

  • Background within a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment (Ideally within Parcels, FMCG, Pallet)
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in National Road Haulage Operations - Advantageous
  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background with exposure 3PL, FMCG, E-commerce.
  • A minimum of 5+ years Logistics management experience.
  • Proven track record in identifying change and shaping operations within an established long serving team
  • Able to work with an established team and have the desire to create change initiatives to create a great culture
  • Live within a commutable distance of Nottingham (and surrounding East Midlands region)
