A UK wide Facilities Management service provider are looking for an experienced Facilities / Contracts Manager (Soft Services) for a shopping centre based in Plymouth.

Job Description

This role reports directly into the Regional Facilities Manager and works closely with the end client / property manager. You will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Soft Services contract teams, to efficiently deliver facilities solution at a 425,000-square-foot shopping centre, whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement heavily focused on our people and teamwork. Responsible for motivating, training, recruiting, managing, and mentoring a team of staff and supervisors to get the best out of every situation. Identifying opportunities to positively influence the experience of all stakeholders wherever possible.

Monitoring of contractor's SLAs and KPIs including IFM target responsibilities. Ensuring the House Keeping and Security teams are managed within contractual obligations and always performing to highest levels of quality and service. Deliver all services in full compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental regulations.

To undertake, on a rotational basis, the role of estate Duty Manager, ensuring coverage during operating hours. Provide leadership and direction, to assure the expected standards and policies are followed and maintained.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 3 years' experience of facilities supervisor/ management within a retail environment.
  • Relevant H&S Qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH etc)
  • Prepared to work occasional weekends via a 7 day shift pattern
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative with a proactive and flexible attitude.
  • Must have a smart appearance.
  • Articulate and can communicate effectively with the clients and the IFM teams
  • Competent industry knowledge
  • Demonstrated passion for the IFM brand.
