Southern Account Executive - Sporting Goods.

Job Description

The Southern Account Executive - Sporting goods will be responsible for maximising sales and profit across their designated accounts in the southern region of the UK, driving market share of the brands in retail and building long term relationships with customers, as well as driving all new sales opportunities within the region.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

The role will involve the successful candidate being field based, calling on customers on a daily basis as agreed with the Head or Export.

  • Present and sell new and existing models as well as special offers.
  • Stay on top of customer requirements and present back appropriate products and ranges to meet these customer needs.
  • Checking stock levels and in store merchandising and presentation, with a view to staying on top of supply and actioning accordingly
  • Challenge and meet any objections on products from customers or retailers with a view to increasing and meeting sales objectives.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with all existing customers and stakeholders to maximise sales and profit and with a view to increased distribution.
  • Attend all relevant trade and industry events as and when required.
  • Plan and organise daily work schedules to meet customer facing requirements.



In Addition

  • Attend sales meetings 3-4 times per year as scheduled.
  • Attend dealer trips and events and training at suppliers locations as and when requested.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, events and exhibitions as well as product demonstrations.
  • Review your own sales performance, regularly address where you are vs. target sales.
  • Maintain technical and product knowledge, staying up to date with not just my clients but the industry movements and new product additions.
  • Targeting and assessing new potential retail customer targets
  • Recommend any changes in product, service and policies as and when appropriate.
  • Gather market and customer information and report back to the business as well as use for decision making within the region.
  • Submit weekly activity reports to line management.

The Successful Applicant

The Southern Account Executive - Sporting Goods will come with the following skills and experiences.

  • Sales experience in an area, regional capacity within the related industry
  • Successful track record in sales and customer growth and management
  • Strong IT skills, Excel, MS Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of Shooting Sports
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and organisational skills
  • Able to work autonomously, self-motivated and driven.
  • Attention to detail, tenacious and results orientated.
  • Full UK drivers license with mobility across the southern part of England / UK



The successful candidate will be expected to be mobile on a daily basis across the UK.

What's on Offer

£40,000 to £50,000 annual salary, depending on the level of industry experience, company car, commission and package benefits.
