The client is a business services company with a European presence.

Job Description

The key tasks involved in carrying out the role are listed below:

  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts for a portfolio of companies. (Including small group consolidated accounts where required).
  • Assisting with the preparation of the large group consolidated financial statements.
  • Assisting line manager/director with the preparation of financial statement templates for the wider team.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Companies Act and other company secretarial duties as required.
  • Liaising with internal tax advisors on corporation tax compliance and VAT.
  • Preparing of corporation tax computations for review by internal advisors.
  • Working closely with the bookkeeping and admin team to ensure that all intercompany transactions are properly recorded.
  • Be a Superuser on the statutory accounting package assisting the wider finance team with adhoc queries and training.
  • To provide support to the finance team on an adhoc basis, including but not limited to management accounts, budgets and other statutory accounts preparation.
  • Any other tasks that the line manager may request of the job holder from time to time.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in year end accounts and some monthly accounts prep experience.
