- A chance to join one of the UK's leading independent agencies
- An opportunity for a real lifestyle change in beautiful Northern Ireland
About Our Client
They're probably one of the UK's best kept agency secrets..
You're reading this advert because you're most likely considering a new role in Manchester, Liverpool or other parts of The North West, but what if you started to think differently?
Nestled on the shores of the Irish Sea, this proudly independent outfit have been punching well above their weight for some time.
Traditionally, they've relied on developing talent from within and relying on the local talent market to grow but as we all know, that game has changed massively.
Over the past 2 years we've seen people leaving big cities in droves, often seeking a new, healthier, more balanced life where there's more green space, for less money and miles of beautiful countryside to explore. There are few places better than here..
For this and many other reasons, they've attracted plenty of folk from over the water who've swapped network agencies and other strong outfits for a coastal/country and city life where they've the best of both worlds.
They're close to 80 strong now and forecast to grow by another 25% this year and with a strong foothold with clients in England, there's still a bit of travel back to London/other cities to keep you connected to other creative hubs.
Their client base is a mix of both heritage brands trying to stay relevant and high growth DTC/tech brands seeking to penetrate and open up new audiences but they're by no means the finished article so as a strategic account director it's vital you'd bring plenty of energy and entrepreneurial spirit to help shape the business as it matures.
As a strategic account director, you'll also inherit a good sized P&L which includes key clients across both the B2B and consumer space so it's vital that you've an agnostic approach to problem solving for a diverse range of clients.
There is a client service team of c25 heads and this role will involve leading and developing some real stars of the future.
The roles will suit folk who love the craft of building and winning proper creative brand partnerships. They've built a one stop shop which means that they're true partners with many of their clients right from media through to strategy, creative, brand/advertising and pr and all aspects of delivery.
As a strategic account director you'll sit on the SMT and relish the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the continued evolution of the agency. They're ambitious and it's likely that they'll grow their footprint by opening an office in England over the next few years so this equally could be a move for someone keen for a change of scene but not wanting to permanently relocate.
The Successful Applicant
The important factors for this role are simple.
You must have a proven agency pedigree and want to grab a new opportunity with both hands.
You'll likely have a sense of adventure, as for most, this isn't swapping your current agency for one down the road.
If you've ties to Northern Ireland, be they family, friends or you grew up there and are keen to explore moving back or indeed you know someone who is, this could be a great option to get you closer to home.
You can be based anywhere at the moment. They've seen and hired folk from London, North West England Leeds, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, the list goes on...
This might be a mile off what you've in mind and I'm sure a tad out of the blue but should this float your boat or you know someone who'd love it, please do get in touch. There is some great background into the area/lifestyle and what it has to offer in 2022 and I'm more than happy to answer any questions you've got.
