Job Description
Sustainable Consumption Specialist
England (remote working-UK based)
Role:
- Supporting and guiding strategy setting for the Organisation
- Providing relevant and up to date understanding of global, sustainable consumption trends
- Planning and managing meetings and webinars of the programmes for multi-stakeholder network
- Develop new project proposals, initiate/support project work and pursue funding opportunities with programme partners and other external actors
- To provide strategic input and decisions on annual work plans, communications strategies, and project work
- To ensure excellent communications between UNEP programme and the Organisation at all times
- Design and lead the programme's communication strategy and content including newsletter and web pages
The Successful Applicant
Sustainable Consumption Specialist
England (Remote working- UK based)
Essential criteria:
- At least two years experience working on initiatives, advocacy, or policy related to sustainable consumption
- At least one year experience of project management in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Ability to communicate complex information succinctly both in writing and verbally
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to be sensitive to different contexts and cultures and adept at functioning in political situations
- At least an MA in the field of Sustainability, Sustainable Consumption, or a related field
- Able to travel globally
- Second language would be an asset
