Job Description

The role will report into the to the Senior Global Data & Insights Manager, working closely with the business, particularly the Business Intelligence Database team - responsible for making the data available.

  • Work with teams throughout the business to support and challenge hypothesis - translating business questions into data analysis and communicating findings clearly
  • Improve data understanding and accessibility by creating and maintaining BI dashboards and reports
  • Work closely with the BI team and manage independent data feeds where needed - identifying opportunities to enhance and enrich the data already available
  • Collaborate cross functionally on projects to integrate data into process and decision making
  • Support the sales channels to achieve their objectives with particular focus on Digital
  • To work as a team with other individuals and colleagues in the Company, sharing knowledge when appropriate, helping colleagues and promoting a spirit of mutual respect and support.
  • Understand and abide by Company and departmental rules, policies and procedures
  • To carry out other duties as so requested by management at time to time.

The Successful Applicant

  • Skilled in data retrieval and processing techniques, working with tools including Tableau
  • Relevant degree (Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics)
  • Experience in Business reporting - preferably with retail consumables with knowledge of e-commerce
  • Understanding and experience of Business Intelligence Tools
  • Highly competent in Excel with the ability to combine multiple data sets and provide valuable insight
  • Pro-active and confident with data, proposing hypotheses and challenging assumptions
  • High attention to detail - willingness to question and interrogate
  • Strong communicator - able to present analysis through reports/dashboards and articulate to all levels of the business as required
  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritise - meet deadlines, provide ad-hoc analysis/reporting to support the business as and when required
  • Commercial Awareness - understanding the data/results and how this impacts the business in meeting its goals and objectives

Desirable -

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
  • Alteryx experience would be advantageous
  • SQL Server knowledge would be desirable
  • Understanding of luxury skincare brands
  • Experience working in a global environment - awareness of influencing factors, exchange rate variance, competition
