Job Description

The key responsibilities for this Tax Assistant Manager role in based in Ely include:

  • CGT on UK property returns.
  • Capital Gains Tax advice.
  • Inheritance Tax.
  • Trusts, including the trust registration service.
  • Statutory Residence Test reviews and tax returns for non resident individuals.
  • Supervising and reviewing the work of less senior members of the team
  • Responsible for the management of own portfolio of clients.
  • Manage and develop client relationships, including regular client contact by telephone, meetings and electronically
  • Monitor the progress of tax return preparation and payment of tax through the tax cycle.
  • Draft tax planning advice where appropriate with support.
  • Draft ad-hoc advisory work as required for Manager/Partner review

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for this Tax Assistant Manager role based in Ely will be/have:

  • ATT qualified
  • 2 years post qualification experience (or qualified by experience)
  • Hold or studying towards the CTA qualification an advantage, but not essential
