Job Description

The Tax Manager role is part of the Global tax team. The Global tax team consists of people in the UK, LATAM, Central Europe and North America and APAC. The role is primarily focused on UK tax compliance, supporting the Group Tax team in delivering a broad range of tax matters including Group Tax Reporting (Interim, P10 and Year-end), managing the MEA region, withholding taxes, maintaining and improving controls and processes and other projects.

The position will spend approximately 25% of their time Transfer Pricing working for the Transfer Pricing Senior Manager on various projects.

Purpose of Role:

  • Prepare & file UK Corporate Tax Computations working with Finance teams in UK & Europe
  • Prepare UK Quarterly Instalment Payments
  • Work with Finance teams to ensure advisors deliver Corporate Tax filings in MEA/Ireland region in a timely manner
  • Work with the Group Tax Senior Manager to lead the Group Tax team & Global Finance teams through Group Tax Reporting at Interim & Year-end
  • Assist the Head of Tax & Group Tax Senior Manager to deliver Group Tax reporting that is materially accurate and on time for the Group IFRS Accounts at Interim & Year-end
  • Manage Tax Reporting Cloud Service administration and provide support to the team (experience of the system is not required as training will be provided)
  • Lead aspects of transfer pricing compliance including functional analysis for transfer pricing documentation, maintenance of intercompany legal agreements and other discrete projects as required (internal training can be provided)
  • Prepare & file UK CbCr reports
  • Manage obtaining residency certificates and the completion of forms to minimise withholding taxes
  • Dealing with initial communication and queries from HMRC and other tax authorities
  • Monitoring and improving tax controls (including managing UK SAO signoff)
  • Assist with both UK indirect and employment tax queries
  • Assist with ad hoc projects

The Successful Applicant

You will ideally be a qualified Tax or Accounting professional (ACA,CTA or ACCA). Good UK CT experience is preferred along with CbCr awareness, and a willingness to learn in respect of Transfer Pricing as well other areas. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to operate well in this corporate international environment.
