Tax Senior to join a leading & growing firm of chartered accountants in Bristol
Support, involvement with planning and progression on offer, as a key addition.
About Our Client
One of the larger firms of chartered accountants in Bristol with parking on site. The firm has developed an excellent reputation, well established with a wide ranging client base of private individuals, OMBs, SME's and corporate clients. Industries are very varied across construction, property etc amongst a much wider spectrum. The firm has long serving staff with directors and team of senior managerial/managerial staff managing the delivery of a quality service to a large client base. The tax department has a focus on personal tax with around 70% of work focused on compliance and planning projects for wide ranging individuals and personal tax clients. Around 30% of their work covers corporate tax for the clients limited companies. OMBs and Corporate clients so there is potential for a mix of work, whilst with a strong focus on personal tax. Clients will cover straight forward personal tax return cases through to HNWI's, company directors, partnerships and trusts with complex cases. You will be encouraged and supported to progress technically in your tax career, with support for further studies on offer for those looking to move onto CTA post ATT etc.
Job Description
Joining as Tax Senior based in the firms Bristol offices, you will support the Directors and managers in providing taxation services, with an element of the role involving hands on preparation of tax returns, P11Ds & ATED returns for wide ranging individuals, trusts and partnerships, preparing correspondence for submission to clients and HMRC. Alongside this you will act in a mentoring capacity to more junior staff, reviewing work and supporting their development. You will also have genuine opportunity for involvement in tax planning for clients, across areas such as IHT, trust work and international tax, with the genuine opportunity to focus down areas of interest and specialism as you progress in your tax career.
The Successful Applicant
You may be ATT/CTA qualified or studying, with a career background involving significant tax compliance delivery. Your experience will have been developed across personal tax, or a mix of personal and/or, corporate tax . Your experience will have been developed within any of a Top Tier firm, through to independent accounting/tax firm of any size. You will be looking for a role and environment where you can develop and progress in your tax career.
What's on Offer
£25,000 - £30,000 + dependent on the background and experience of the right professional, plus benefits.
