Job Description

* Ensure customer specific requirements are achieved and product specifications are met for all NPD
* Coordination of manufacturing to ensure agreed timing plans are met
* The Technical Development Engineer will seek commercial approval prior to any change being made and validate any requests
* Liaison with all stakeholders and this cross department management is critical to success
* Working with production to ensure any NPD and product evaluation trials are manufactured in a controlled environment
* Liaison post trial to validate / propose updates to drawings / components to ensure systems are up to date
* Collate statistical information in relation to product evaluation which includes administrative and data analysis/entry duties
* Support the Technical Development Manager in developing and improving processes
* Reporting - collating and presenting (weekly & monthly) on product development and trials
* CAD support wherever necessary

The Successful Applicant

  • All engineering career pathways considered from HNC / Time Served / Degree
  • 2-3 years industry experience is ideal including time spent in a Quality department
  • Experience of working in a hands-on, technical environment is essential
  • Experience driving NPD, product testing, design for manufacture and taking product to market is essential
  • Ability to influence and motivate others essential in order to meet the cross discipline people management duties
  • Competent on CAD design with Solidworks exp beneficial
  • Driving Licence required as regular trips to other UK sites is a part of this role
