Job Description

  • Providing support to trading front and back office staff in a highly pressurised environment
  • Support Engineer for all aspects of the companies IT support
  • Setting up new desktop hardware and software
  • Installation and support of desktop applications
  • Work with and compliment the network, telecoms and server support services team
  • Support the IT support manager across the range of responsible functions
  • Ensure all vendors are engaged by the organisation and agree to the plan and timescales
  • Assist in developing procedures internally

The Successful Applicant

  • Excellent understanding of Investment Bank related technologies
  • Good understanding of installation and support of electronic trading and market data applications
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft desktop technologies including Windows 10, Office, Skype etc
  • Excellent understanding of desktop hardware in a trade floor environment (DEll, HPE, BT dealer-boards, Konica)
  • Good understanding of PC imaging processes and software installations (SCCM)
  • Good understanding of email and messaging applications
  • Excellent methodical troubleshooting skills
  • ability to work to strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality
  • Understanding of the ITIL processes / ITIL Foundation
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Shift work, weekend working and bank holiday working where required.
