Job Description

The Key responsibilities for this Trainee Accountant opportunity include:

  • Working as part of a team to provide clients with a range of services including statutory accounts, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, software implementation, Tax returns and Audit
  • Developing an understanding of our clients and their businesses
  • Keeping your manager fully informed of any issues and problems, ensuring the work is completed to a level agreed with the manager and recording clearly and concisely the work carried out
  • Becoming familiar with our internal accounting software as well as other cloud accounting technologies
  • Providing advice and solutions to clients in response to their accounting queries
  • Prioritising tasks for your own portfolio of clients, whilst monitoring time against budget

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for this Trainee Accountant role based in Beaconsfield will have/be:

  • Effective use of IT including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Attitude to question and improve knowledge and understanding.
  • Able to communicate effectively face to face and over the phone with clients
  • Analytical and the ability to learn within a new environment.
  • Self-motivated to learn and consider future training opportunities.
  • Takes responsibility for work tasks and quality, managing own workload and deadlines under supervision.
  • Shows enthusiasm and commitment to undertaking tasks as required and in particular in seeing tasks through to completion.
  • Maintains professional standards of conduct and practice.
  • Working to deadlines while maintaining workload by prioritising and ability to multitask.
